2025 AMDFP

Ready to Go Deeper?

You’ve wrestled with Evangelii Gaudium. You’ve walked the Synod road. You’ve lived out the joys and tensions of missionary discipleship. Now what?

In a world spinning with uncertainty, division, and dizzying change, how do we stay rooted in hope—while stepping boldly into the mess, the margins, and the mission?

The Advanced Missionary Discipleship Seminar is a weeklong journey for those ready to stretch, stir, and be sent again.

If you’ve already engaged with the heart of Evangelii Gaudium, participated in the Synod process, or experienced the transformative path of missionary discipleship—whether through formation programs, immersive mission, or pastoral reflection—you’ll feel right at home.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • Global spirituality that connects rather than divides
  • Intergenerational accompaniment that listens, laughs, and leads
  • Prophetic witness rooted in joy and justice

Megan 10Throughout the process we will be guided by internationally known author, theologian, storyteller and lecturer, Megan McKenna.  Using the See Judge Act methodology of Evangelii Gaudium, we will examine the current reality and context, grapple with the hard questions, and bring that to prayerful theological reflection to discern how the Spirit invites to respond to upheaval with resilience, creativity, and resistance. Drawing from the wisdom of elders and young leaders alike, we will seek “roots” to anchor our mission and “wings” to engage a digital, interconnected world in the work of justice, compassion, and peace. Together, we will discern how to build bridges across generations and borders embracing the prophetic call to be pilgrims of hope.

Join us as we collectively renew our spirits, fellowship and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Hudson Valley in upstate New York!
