En esta conferencia vía Zoom conoceremos más sobre la vida y obra de Mons. Gerardi, Mártir de la Paz. In this Zoom conference, we'll learn more about the life and work of Mgr. Gerardi, Martyr of Peace.

El asesinato de Mons. Gerardi ocurrió el 26 de abril de 1998, dos días después de presentar el informe "¡Guatemala: Nunca Más!". El obispo fue atacado y asesinado a golpes en el garaje de la casa parroquial de la iglesia de San Sebastián, donde era párroco. 

The assassination of Mgr. Juan Gerardi occurred on April 26, 1998, two days after presenting the report "Guatemala: Never Again!" The bishop was attacked and beaten to death in the garage of the parish house of the San Sebastián Church, where he was the pastor.

¡GUATEMALA: NEVER AGAIN! is the report of the Interdiocesan Project "Recovery of Historical Memory" that analyzes several thousand testimonies about human rights violations that occurred during the internal armed conflict.
