Step into the Rhythm of Mission: Embrace the Dance of Contemplation in Action!

As missionary disciples, our call is clear: GO FORTH IN JOY! But amidst the fervor of our mission, let's follow the example of Jesus, who found strength in solitude and prayer.

Missionary Disciples recognize that ministry is a delicate balance of ACTION and CONTEMPLATION—a dance of grace and purpose. Join us for a transformative 3-day retreat where we immerse ourselves in this sacred rhythm of mission spirituality.

Led by Fr. Alfonso Kim, M.M., this journey will deepen our contemplative practice, empowering us to shine brighter as missionary disciples. With Fr. Kim's wealth of global experience in pastoral ministry and mindfulness of Zen practice, prepare to be inspired and renewed.

Fr. Kim's extensive mission work spans across continents, from Japan to Bosnia-Herzegovina, and his impactful retreats have touched lives in diverse corners of the world, including Korea, India, Tanzania, Mexico, Thailand, Cambodia, and various states in the U.S. (New Mexico, California, Seattle, New York, New Jersey, and Texas).

Here is what others have said about this retreat:

"It was wonderful to attend the whole retreat. The coming together of the Christian and Zen traditions was inspirational. I was especially touched by the silent Mass with which we completed the retreat.

"Alfonso seemed to have an intimate relationship with the topic. A good presenter, embodying what he espouses, with a good sense of humor. He held the attention of everyone at every moment."

"It helped bring us closer to God. It was a very healing experience!"

We will meet at 5pm (PT) on Friday, October 25 at Maryknoll in Los Altos.  Retreat will end at 1pm following lunch on Sunday, October 27.
